Permanent Driving Licence in Haryana
Driving Licence is issued to allow the eligible persons to drive a motor vehicle in India. Driving Licence is valid throughout the India. A person is eligible to apply for the Driving Licence after thirty days from the date of issue of the Learner’s Driving Licence to him/her but before the expiry of the Learner’s Driving Licence. For issuance of Permanent Driving License, applicant is required to appear for Driving Test.

For Permanent Driving License

  • Form 1: This form contains self-declaration of the applicant’s (who is below 50 years of age) physical conditions. It is valid for non-transport vehicles.
  • Form 1A: Valid for applicants who are 50 years and above, this category requires a certificate from a registered medical practitioner along with the form Under this form, an individual can apply for driving permit for transport vehicles.
  • Effective Learner license

On submission of applications along with all supportive documents, applicant have to appear for Preliminary Test. Test is conducted by Licensing Authority to check the knowledge of understanding of Traffic Signs, Signals, Duties of driver when his/her vehicle is involved in accident, precautions to be taken while driving. To get the driving license he need to correctly answer 60% of questions put to him.

Driving Test
Before issue of Driving license, applicant has to pass the test of competence(Driving Test) before licensing authority. Test will be conducted on particular class of vehicle for which applicant is intended to get the license. an in case the applicant fails the test, he or she is allowed to reappear for the driving test after seven days. If the applicant fails to pass the test in three attempts, he (or she) will have to wait for another sixty days from the date of the last test before re-appearing for the driving test. The driving test for permanent permit can be taken up once month after holding the LL. The test consists of two phases. In the first phase, the applicant’s ability to control the vehicle will be checked. In the second part, his driving skills on the track will be scrutinized.
